What data we collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to read our content. We collect data in two situations. If you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the content of your message, which we use only to respond to you.
Comments and Gravatar
If you leave a comment, an anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture may be visible to the public alongside your comment. Visitor comments may also be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Cookies

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically. Emails sent to us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

If you have left comments on this site, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, and you can request that we erase that data.
